An optimal point of sale network: how to reduce costs and increase turnover?
Despite the internet revolution, for several retail and service providing companies, physical points of sale still remain the strategy of choice for selling their products. Nevertheless, the delineating of a network of points of sale is a comprehensive process. On the one hand, one needs to confine the costs for infrastructure, distribution and personnel. On the other hand, however, one also needs to be market focused, and select correct locations in order to be able to achieve commercial success. But, how much exactly will we need to invest in the network, and how do we pick the right locations? Not very evident!

During the past few years, MÖBIUS has increasingly gone into this subject. We finally managed to bridge our conventional cost-reducing distribution model and geomarketing. Have a look at what we do with “customer intelligence” insights.

OptiMobile RCE (Retail Customer Explorer)
This module was designed as a solution to compute the optimal locating of offices and points of sale. As shown in below figure, such questions need to be examined from multiple angles: enterprise, client & employee.

OptiMobile DND (Distribution Network Designer)
In case of Supply Chain networking questions, the catch is to find the correct balance between centralising and decentralising powers. The Optimobile distribution network designer (DND) was developed to be able to provide founded answers to this question. This module steers to optimum flows with minimum costs without losing sight of the environment.

OptiMobile FM (Flow Mapper)
One image speaks louder than thousands of words. In addition to OptiMobile RCE & DND, a user-friendly mapping tool was specifically developed to quickly and easily display flows, volumes, occupancies….
