Supply Chain Risk Research
MÖBIUS in cooperation with Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School, is developing an end-to-end approach for dealing with Supply Chain Risks.
The added value of this research project
lies in the development of an end-to-end approach in managing Supply Chain Risks. During the project, a novel approach of risk quantification and mitigation strategies will be developed. The simulation of a Supply Chain network to quantify the impact of risks on the P&L.
(Supply Chain) Risks are typically managed using following approach:
-
Risk identification (Which supply chain risks are relevant for my organisation?)
-
Risks assessment (How important are they? What is their impact on my profit & loss (P&L) account?)
-
Risks treatment and mitigation (What am I going to do to deter, avoid or transfer them?)
-
Evaluation and Monitoring (What is my current supply chain risk liability?)
During the project, knowledge will be built up to help perform those steps.
Some of the deliverables are
:
-
List of Common Supply Chain Risks
-
Simulation tool for the quantification of the impact on P&L
-
Risks treatment and mitigation strategies (incl. their impact on P&L)
-
Evaluation and Monitoring tools
