Do you know what percentage of time is possibly wasted in your branch networks?
New communication channels, drastic changes in client fidelity and various mergers within the financial world are just a few of the challenges that big financial organisations are facing. These changes are both extensive and of great influence to the performance and profitability of the branch networks.

Maximising the potential of your distribution channels, focusing on the right products and executing the right activities, all this is necessary for a high performing distribution network.

How do we know which activities the office employees spend their time on?
Isn’t the percentage of indirect time too high?
How much time is spent on commercial activities?
What percentage of time is possibly wasted?
Is the time usage different between high and low performing branches?
What are the most effective activities?

To answer these questions MÖBIUS – together with a number of academic partners – started a research project to study the time usage of branches in the banking sector and to identify opportunities for increasing performance and possible threats. Using a state-of-the art PDA time registration technique, we will quantify the distribution of time allocation at different branches within a banking environment and benchmark these results with other organisations within the sector.
