Discrete Event Simulation

Simulation Definition

  • Simulation is a technique allowing you to imitate the behaviour of reality. Like a pilot in his flight simulator you can study and analyse your business and therefore  go to a higher level of understanding that can beused to improve your processes and support your decision taking process.

  • Simulation allows you to experiment without the risk of unsatisfied customers, unsatisfied employees and last but not least needless costs.

  • Simulation takes into account all factors of uncertainty (breakdown of production, unavailability of human resources, changing number of orders, peak moments,...). Simulation avoids unnecessary risks of taking the wrong decisions by predicting the future performance.

Simulation Software
MÖBIUS is an expertise centre of simulation: our consultants are trained and experienced in several kinds of simulation software.

We use discrete event simulation tools, which are based on real or statistically generated events. They are very suitable for modeling “real” situations.  Our simulation consultants continuously monitor the latest evolutions on the simulation market, so that we can guarantee to use the state-of-the-art tool in your project.

Our  simulation suites are developed in-house and are using the basic Discrete Event Simulation tools to solve problems in specific fields of the Supply Chain.
