GenAI Engineer

You start from a business problem: a pile of documents that is processed by hand, a customer service team drowning in emails or a process that takes too much time, … and translate it into the most suitable architecture. You then develop the AI solution: sometimes a tailor-made solution, sometimes a scalable platform that works across multiple clients or use cases. You make that choice consciously and with solid reasoning.

This role is first and foremost technical, but you never lose sight of the business.

In practice, this means:

• Working closely with clients and our machine learning specialists to fully understand their needs and processes, so that every question gets the most appropriate approach.
• Making and safeguarding architectural choices, taking deliberate decisions on models, modularity, integration, scalability, reliability, …
• Designing and developing AI applications with a strong focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. You apply techniques such as prompt engineering and RAG to build reliable, pragmatic and high-performing solutions.
• Bringing scalable AI solutions into production and keeping them there: from proof of concept to a reliable and secure deployment in cloud environments such as Azure, with CI/CD pipelines, containers, monitoring and cost control.
• Integrating GenAI solutions into existing systems and processes via APIs, including API management and security.

• Holds a master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Has several years of relevant work experience.
• Has hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI tools and techniques.
• Has extensive deployment experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure to bring AI models into production reliably and keep them running.
• Is proficient in Python and has experience building and maintaining APIs.
• Has business acumen and the reflex to take it into account in technical choices.
• Communicates clearly in Dutch and English, to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge of French is an asset.
• Is proactive, curious and a team player who enjoys collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
