Senior Healthcare Consultant

You’re no stranger to the hospital world. You’ve worked there yourself, know the dynamics of the workplace, and understand how decisions are made—from the operating room to the executive committee. Now you want to apply that expertise more broadly by helping hospitals improve from the outside.

Specifically:

• You have a master’s degree in a healthcare -related field.

• You have 3 to 9 years of relevant experience within a hospital or hospital network— for example, in hospital pharmacy, nursing, the operating room, patient experience, central sterilization, healthcare IT, or hospital finance.

• You understand how hospitals operate and where the friction lies: between departments, between strategy and execution, and between quality of care and cost pressures.

• You quickly build trust with doctors, nurses, executives, and support staff—and know how to get them on board with a change process.

• You communicate clearly and persuasively in Dutch; knowledge of French or English is a plus.

• You enjoy working on a project basis: you value structure, but are flexible enough to adapt to the complex realities of a healthcare institution.

Depending on your experience and interests, you’ll contribute to projects in one or more of these areas:

🏥 Hospital reform: You’ll help hospitals establish sustainable partnerships—with clear governance, well-founded business cases, and widely supported collaboration models, including those that span multiple institutions.

📆 Capacity planning: You’ll tackle capacity issues holistically—from appointments and surgical schedules to bed capacity and staffing—with a focus on both efficiency and practicality.

😊 Patient Pathways and Satisfaction: You put the patient first, design processes based on measurable outcomes, and ensure digital follow-up throughout the care journey.

🔄 Healthcare logistics and support services: You optimize logistics flows in hospitals and improve collaboration with departments such as Central Sterile Supply (CSA), pharmacy, lab, and kitchen.

📈 Cost control and financing: You translate reforms in hospital financing and nomenclature into practice, in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
