Public Sector Consultant
Do you care about society and want to help build an agile government that makes a difference for citizens? As a Public Sector Consultant at Möbius, you guide public organisations from analysis to visible results, always putting people first.
About
Möbius is a consultancy that helps organisations across sectors design and implement the best solutions. Our 140+ colleagues work in Belgium and the Netherlands and have been supporting a wide variety of organisations since 1997.
For more than 25 years, we have worked side by side with local, regional, federal and European governments. Public organisations face major challenges: they need to become more agile and work smarter, while continuing to deliver high-quality services to citizens. That requires not only new structures and technology, but above all people who learn to think and work differently. That is why we firmly opt for a people-centred and results-driven approach.
To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a driven Public Sector Consultant.
Your day-to-day work ...
Approach and implementation
You analyse how organisations operate, structure complex issues and redesign processes and structures where needed. Together with the client, you develop tailored solutions and guide the implementation, with due attention to change management and buy-in.
Collaboration and client relationships
You work closely with teammates and with the client, from elected officials and management to staff on the ground. You build relationships of trust and ensure broadly supported decisions. You also identify new client needs and help develop proposals.
Depending on your experience and interests, you do this in one or more domains:
-
People and organisation: you strengthen public organisations in change management, leadership development, organisational development and talent management, helping them grow into agile organisations with engaged employees.
-
Mergers and reorganisations: you guide mergers and reorganisations from A to Z, from municipal mergers to the creation of housing companies or the redesign of an agency. You help turn a complex transition into a clear and broadly supported journey for officials, employees and citizens.
-
AI in the public sector: you help governments select and implement the AI applications that create real value for their efficiency and services, in line with the AI Act.
What you bring ...
-
A master’s degree and 2 to 8 years of relevant work experience in organisational development, change management, process improvement or digital transformation, at a consultancy or within an organisation.
-
Strong analytical insight: you bring structure to complex issues and translate them into clear conclusions.
-
An eye for the human side of change: you know how to bring people along and quickly build trust with clients.
-
A healthy dose of team spirit: you work with colleagues and clients to find the best solution.
-
Dutch or French as your mother tongue, with at least a good basic knowledge of the other national language. You also speak English fluently.
-
An affinity with the public sector and an entrepreneurial mindset are a plus.
We offer you ...
💸 an attractive salary package with numerous benefits (such as an electric company car, laptop, insurance, sports and wellbeing initiatives, etc.).
👩🏼💻 a role in a self-managing organisational model (holacracy), with the opportunity to carry out important projects with complete freedom and autonomy, allowing you to showcase your talents every day.
💪🏼 a buddy from day one and support from experienced colleagues.
🎓 extensive training opportunities so you can become an expert in your field, develop your own career plan, stay up to date with the latest trends and, above all, stay inspired.
💡 an entrepreneurial and innovative company culture centred on client focus, knowledge sharing and collegiality.
💬 a continuous feedback culture with the drive to keep growing and to earn trust.
🕦 flexible working hours, inspiring offices and the option to work from your own home office.
👥 a great bunch of enthusiastic and passionate colleagues.
