An exchange of relevant experience or a real discussion between experts, it is often lacking in our professional lives. And that is no different for experts from cities and municipalities in Brussels and Wallonia.
The collaboration between the city of Namur and the Möbius delivered a response to this need. Originally, the city of Namur just wanted to compare the processes and tools of its own engineering buildings with those of other cities, as part of a project in collaboration with Möbius. Proud of the first results of this project, we organized together with some experts from other cities and municipalities a seminar to conduct a benchmark.
The seminar exceeded all expectations. Several experts from the engineering buildings of Namur, Brussels , Uccle , Ixelles and Gembloux met at the Cercle du Lac in Genval on June 14, 2016. Following the presentation of the previously obtained project results, a very interesting discussion arised on several topics faced by all participants:
How to provide expertise and how to communicate with the authorities for a realistic programming? Which processes ensure the success of a project? What roles are needed and what is the best structure to support a process? What IT tools exist to facilitate and secure the process?
After the seminar, opinions were unanimously positive. Not only about the good conversations, but also about the opportunity that was created to meet colleagues.
We intend to repeat this success formula in the future for sure: a partnership between the government and Möbius, a relevant theme, a good reference case and the participation of experts in the field.
